We're excited to be bringing Nature Connect Club back for Autumn 2025 through to Spring 2026!  Check below for new dates.
There are more FREE sessions planned to help you connect with nature right here in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent.
Most of the sessions will take place in the grounds of Stoke Minster church; if you've never visited there, it is a big space full of interesting trees, plants, bugs, and even batty bats!
Free hot & cold refreshments  too!

Nature Connect Club is a programme of outdoor half-day sessions that give children and adults in Stoke the opportunity to connect with nature.  Together we will experience the benefits of being outdoors and learning more about the wildlife and plants that can be found in the town centre.
We'll be running sessions whatever the weather - encouraging people to enjoy being outdoors in sunshine, wind and rain!

Each session will include practical, creative and learning activities, suitable for both adults and children, themed from a broad range of nature and outdoor topics.  Led by Francesca (pictured) who is experienced in leading outdoor nature-activities.

Sessions will include activities like: an evening bat and moth watch; bird watch and identification; using a species-grid-count to identify flora and fauna;  beetles, bugs and insects hunt; signs of spring scavenger hunt; tree identification, ageing and bark rubbing; forest bathing and mindfulness in nature; ‘campfire’ evening; nature after dark walk; nature journaling and exercising in nature.

Each session will stand alone but participants can learn something new and experience different types of activities by attending several sessions.

Suitable for both children and adults and tailored to the weather, location and participants on the day.

Sessions run on Saturday mornings so keep your eye on our social media - Facebook and Instagram - for up to date information.

Participants will be given practical and fun ideas they can take home and use to enjoy other nature pockets around in the town.

No need to book just turn up.
Session suitable for adults and children with adults.
