UNCAGED THEATRE presents...
Our Festival Echoes commission, ‘Transcend: Connection’ fuses movement, aerial arts, and spoken word to demonstrate the importance of connection and the mixed emotions we have all felt during the Covid crisis.
Our project takes the form of a film, instead of in front of a live audience, and had a theme of connection and isolation in the current global crisis. Filming aerial can be really challenging as once your feet leave the ground you can never guarantee a good shot. The equipment turns and sways naturally so it is not entirely suited to being filmed. We are also most comfortable in front of a live audience, we can engage with an audience and we create a relationship with them as we perform.
