The stunning new Festival Echo video 'Continue to Burn' by dancer and choreographer Steff D'Arcy is now live! Make yourself a coffee, turn up the sound and enjoy. Artists Aisling Gallagher and Calum Perrin have created an audio composition, exploring the sonic experiences of disabled people during the pandemic.
Working with disabled and neurodiverse people in Stoke, Aisling and Calum facilitated workshops with participants, collecting experiences and sounds. "What are the good and bad experiences of lockdown for disabled people? And how is the new normal effecting us? With the help of participants, we wove elements and soundscape, interview and music, shaping the material into an audio piece to be shared online."
